Examination Dates Chemistry

Exam information and rules

You have to register for exams through KSL. Normally, you can register and deregister for exams from the chemistry department as of the beginning of a semster until 14 days before the exam. Please note that other institutes have sometimes other registration deadlines. Registration for repetition exams from the chemistry department is usually possible as of the beginning of June through KSL. For repetition exams that takes place before the end of June registration is already earlier possible.

Should you be sick or have an accident, please send a doctor's notice to the student administration office within one week of the exam at the latest. Also inform the professor and the student administration office already on the day of the exam by phone or e-mail that you cannot attend (especially in the case of oral exams). After you have taken an exam it is not possible to hand in a doctor's notice. In case you feels sick during the exam, abort the exam immediately.

Informationen about the admissions to exams from the chemistry department or special grade calculations can be found in the "Anhang zum Studienplan" for Chemistry as well as in the corresponding entry in KSL.

ATTENTION: Please note, that as of the fall semester 2012 the repetition exam dates from the chemistry, biochemistry and biology area are only available for actual repetition exams or if someone missed the first date due to illness, military service or an exam at the same time from an elective. Therefore, the exam would have had to be written at the first date or a doctor’s notice/military notice had to be handed-in for the missed first date in case you would like to register for the repetition exam. Please make sure you always sign-up for the first exam date.
